The Volvo Fitting Center is responsible for fitting tires and rims into wheels, which are used for both the company’s own production in Ghent and for other Volvo factories.Your new roleAs an Operational Leader, you will be responsible for the daily operational management of the Volvo Fitting Center, where tires and rims are assembled into wheels. You will coordinate and organize activities efficiently, enabling flexible responses to changing circumstances. You will coach, guide, and motivate a team of approximately 30 employees, supported by team leaders, to achieve established goals. You will encourage your team to adhere to safety, quality, ergonomics, and environmental guidelines and to propose improvement suggestions. You will ensure the training and guidance of your team. You will work closely with the other supervisor and the engineer of the Fitting Center.Your profileFor this role as an Operational Leader, you have at least an A2 diploma or equivalent. No specific technical or logistical background experience is required, but you are willing to learn. You have a passion for people and are a strong communicator. Leadership comes naturally to you, making you strong in coaching, inspiring, and motivating a team. You are hands-on, flexible, and organizationally skilled.
