The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Central Compound Operations & Quality Manager. Someone to take the lead in managing our Vehicle Processing Centre operations in Zeebrugge, ensuring that all pre‑delivery activities meet our quality, technical and timing standards. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, strong operational capability, and the drive to secure a smooth, high quality flow of vehicles from factory to final delivery. And someone who is comfortable working closely with partners and suppliers to secure continuous improvement.
As part of our Quality & Logistics function, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between manufacturing and our customer‑facing markets. The Central Compound in Zeebrugge is where most Polestar vehicles for Europe are processed. Your work will also support additional VPC sites when needed.
This position is located in Zeebrugge, Belgium, with some travel expected to support other operations and partners. The responsibilities
In this role, you will secure the daily execution of VPC processes and uphold the standards that define Polestar quality. Working as part of Quality & Logistics, you will be central in driving operational performance and in ensuring that vehicle readiness aligns with plan and quality expectations. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the execution of PDI, PDS, manufacturing, quality and logistics activities carried out by both internal technicians and third‑party service providers
* Leading and coaching third‑party partners to ensure high quality operations, system accuracy and continuous improvement
* Reviewing new global instructions and supporting process development related to time, cost, capability, quality and authorization
* Driving continuous improvement using KPI scorecards, audits and best practices to secure performance and corrective actions
* Coordinating quality activities, ensuring alignment with Logistics, Manufacturing Quality, Service and Repair Experience and market teams
The ideal candidate

In addition, you will need the following qualifications:
* A minimum of seven years experience in workshop, manufacturing, logistics or quality operations, giving you a strong foundation in technical and operational processes used daily in a VPC environment
* Good understanding of finished vehicle logistics and quality management systems, essential for securing accurate flow, documentation and product readiness
* A technical university degree or equivalent experience, supporting your ability to navigate instructions, standards and technical assessments
* Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, important for evaluating performance, identifying issues and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders
* Proficiency in English and Dutch, required for day‑to‑day communication, instructions, coordination and partner management
