Senior Technical Consultant
Your Role & Responsibilities
* Design and validate the technical architecture of ICT solutions (servers, storage, hypervisors) for both customers and internal use
* Install and configure systems at both hardware and software levels
* Act as the technical expert during project execution, working closely with Project Managers
* Deliver hands‑on, on‑site training to customers after system installation
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing installations (2nd & 3rd line support)
* Maintain and continuously expand your expertise in Compute, Storage, Backup, and Virtualization technologies
* Keep close contact with suppliers to stay informed about new products and technological developments
* Follow regular technical trainings leading to relevant certifications
* Be open to joining a 24/7 on‑call rotation in the future
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical role
* Strong technical expertise including:
o Enterprise‑grade HPE and Dell servers (rack‑mounted or blade)
o Enterprise‑grade HPE and Dell storage solutions, including SAN switching
o Experience with large, redundant multi‑site compute and storage environments
o Backup solutions such as VEEAM and/or Commvault
o Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments
o Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.)
o Interest in cybersecurity
o Basic knowledge of networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN)
o Basic Linux knowledge is a plus
* Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
* Comfortable with technical documentation and reporting
* Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) and French (spoken), with willingness to further develop the other national language if needed
* Flexible and willing to travel across Belgium
