About the RoleWe are supporting a well-established and fast-growing organization operating in the logistics and supply chain sector, based in the Antwerp region. As part of ongoing expansion and increased activity across Benelux operations, the company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to reinforce its local finance team.This role offers a hands-on position within a dynamic operational environment, with close interaction between finance and business operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for general ledger accounting for one or more Belgian entitiesLead month-end and year-end closingsPrepare financial statements in accordance with BE GAAPManage VAT returns and statutory complianceAct as key contact for external auditors and tax advisorsSupport budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the Finance ManagerMonitor and improve accounting processes and internal controlsParticipate in ERP system enhancements and process optimizationProvide financial insights to support operational decision-making
QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or EconomicsMinimum 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in logistics, manufacturing, or an industrial environmentStrong knowledge of BE GAAPExperience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Exact)Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)Hands-on, pragmatic, and able to work independentlyStrong analytical mindset with attention to detail
