Overview

In this function, you will be part of a team of about ten controllers and report directly to the CFO.

This hybrid role combines controlling, payroll verification, and administrative accuracy. You will ensure the reliability of all personnel‑related data, monitor changes in employee regimes, and maintain structured and compliant administrative processes. You will act as a business partner to team leaders and collaborate closely with the Head of Talent.

Around 30% of your time will be dedicated to payroll and administrative controls, and 70% to controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

But you'll discover quickly that sharing jokes, memes, and drinks after work with the team is also an important part of the job The role is based in our Brussels office and offers a hybrid working model, combining both office and remote work.

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is our bucket list, but we will not be disappointed if we cannot thick all the boxes in the end. All our experts have different backgrounds, which help them shape their day-to-day, that will not be any different in your case.

Verify the monthly payroll prepared by the external payroll provider.
Check and validate all payroll‑related elements: fringe benefits, correct valuation, regime changes, part‑time arrangements, entries/exits, leave, etc.
Maintain a structured and reliable administrative follow‑up of employee data and contractual changes.
Oversee personnel cost controlling: monthly reporting, variance analysis, budget preparation.
Monitor key performance indicators: timesheets, productivity, billability, project profitability.
Ensure accurate time reporting and help define, structure, and enforce internal rules.
Build and maintain dashboards and performance tracking tools.
Conduct data analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Partner with team managers to understand business needs and provide financial guidance.
Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and monthly closings.
Support continuous improvement of controlling processes and tools.

Qualifications

WHO ARE YOU?

You have a background in finance or accounting; an accountant wishing to grow into controlling is very welcome.
You have experience in controlling or in a hybrid accounting/controlling role.
You have strong administrative rigor, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
You have a high level of discretion and strict respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
Excellent command of Excel; Power BI is a strong asset.
You have a solid understanding of social legislation and payroll mechanisms.
You have strong communication skills and the ability to challenge and support teams.
You are proactive, structured, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
You are proficient in French or Dutch, and English.
