ASIC TEST ENGINEER - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ASIC Test Engineer with a focus on Analog and Mixed-Signal circuits to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies to validate performance, ensure reliability, and enable high-volume manufacturing of custom ASICs.You will work across the full product lifecycle - from early design engagement and silicon validation to production test development and yield optimization. The ideal candidate has strong analog fundamentals, hands-on experience with lab test equipment and automation tools, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a cross-functional role involving close collaboration with design, layout, product, and manufacturing teams.This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative semiconductor products in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Your work will directly influence product quality, test coverage, and time-to-market.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute test strategies for analog/mixed-signal ASICs from prototype through high-volume production.Design and implement comprehensive test plans, including bench-level validation, automated test development, and characterization.Collaborate with IC design teams to understand functional specs and integrate Design-for-Test (DFT) features.Create and maintain automated test software and scripts using platforms such as Python, LabVIEW, or C/C++.Perform device-level characterization and correlation, identifying root causes of test failures or parametric deviations.Work with hardware teams to design test PCBs, load boards, and custom interface circuitry.Support ATE development and debug (e.g., Teradyne, Advantest, or NI-based platforms).Generate detailed test documentation and reports; analyze performance across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.Assist in production ramp-up, yield tracking, and reliability testing (e.g., HTOL, ESD, Latch-Up).Contribute to design and product reviews, focusing on testability and manufacturing efficiency.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.3+ years of hands-on experience in testing analog and mixed-signal ASICs.Strong understanding of analog circuit behavior (e.g., ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, PLLs, regulators).Proficient with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, SMUs, signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers.Experience in test automation and data analysis, using tools such as Python, MATLAB, JMP, or similar.Familiarity with semiconductor test flows, statistical analysis, and design verification principles.The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
