Our client, a public organization leading major rail infrastructure modernization projects, is seeking a Financial Officer (Financial Controller) to strengthen its Program Management team. You will be part of a highly dynamic environment responsible for implementing advanced signaling systems, including ETCS and interlocking technologies. Your RoleAs Financial Controller within the Program Management unit, you will:Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.Support project and program managers in financial planning and follow-up.Analyze accounting costs and variances versus budget estimates.Collect and manage financial and operational data related to ongoing investment programs.Update reporting tools and interact with stakeholders (PMs, program leads, and management).Actively participate in knowledge sharing and process improvements.Contribute to standardizing financial control tools and workflows.Operate in a bilingual (Dutch/French) work environment. Your Profile5–9 years of relevant experience in financial control, budgeting, or program/project accounting.Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.Strong analytical mindset and experience working with complex structures (SAP knowledge required).Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with Power BI is a plus.Prior exposure to asset inventory or railway infrastructure projects is an asset.Bilingual Dutch/French — fluent in one, solid command of the other.
