The project:
Our client in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to strengthen their team.
Key responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis
Work closely with business analysts, product owners and stakeholders to understand business needs.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications .
Perform high-level functional and technical analysis of Epics and Features and support cost estimations.
Solution Design
Design robust and scalable IT solutions aligned with architecture guidelines and technical constraints.
Produce architecture diagrams, workflows, and data models .
Ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, maintainable, and secure .
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with development teams, architects, and technical experts to ensure successful implementation.
Coordinate with different banking domains and external partners to design optimal technical and user-friendly solutions.
Act as the interface between business teams and IT teams during project execution.
Innovation & Technology
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends .
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies that enhance organizational capabilities.
Documentation
Produce and maintain solution documentation, including:
Functional specifications
Technical specifications
Architecture documentation
User stories
Quality Assurance
Define functional and non-functional acceptance criteria .
Work with QA teams to ensure solutions meet design specifications and quality standards .
Project Delivery
Participate in the implementation of cross-functional IT projects .
Ensure alignment with IT strategy, architecture vision, business analysis and budget constraints .
Support Scrum teams during detailed analysis and implementation phases .
Continuous Improvement
Participate in retrospectives and improvement initiatives .
Contribute to improving solution design practices and development processes .
Is this you?
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with solution design methodologies and tools
Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Experience with databases and integration technologies
Mandatory Technical Knowledge
SQL expertise
Oracle and/or Sybase databases (5+ years)
Domain Expertise
Financial Markets (5+ years)
Experience in:
Derivatives
Repo
Clearing & Settlement
Market Data
Project & Leadership Skills
Experience as Project Lead with strong communication skills (5+ years)
Experience with Agile project management
Leadership capabilities including accountability, ownership, mentoring and team motivation
Personal Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Result-oriented mindset
Team player
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple initiatives
