VERDON, a leading EPC company specialized in piping and industrial projects, is strengthening its Engineering Office and looking for an experienced CAD Manager to lead and elevate our multidisciplinary design capabilities.

YOUR MISSION :
As our CAD Manager, you will take ownership of the entire CAD & Design Delivery function across Piping, Structures, E&I, HVAC, and MEP .
Reporting to the Head of Engineering Office, your role includes:
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead and structure the CAD function across all engineering disciplines
* Supervise local and offshore CAD designers/drafters
* Provide technical coaching and foster a culture of quality and constructibility
* Strengthen collaboration between CAD teams and engineering leads
CAD Deliverables Ownership
* Ensure on-time delivery of all CAD deliverables (IFR, IFD, IFC, As-Built)
* Validate 3D models, layouts, isometrics, fabrication drawings, support drawings
* Ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards, templates, libraries, and naming conventions
* Coordinate closely with QA/QC, Project Management, and Document Control
CAD Production Flow
* Manage weekly workload plans and project backlogs
* Assign tasks based on expertise and project priorities
* Monitor progress, anticipate bottlenecks, and secure continuous production flow
* Implement efficient file structures, versioning, and change management
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
* Implement quality gates and review processes
* Reduce rework through standardization and lessons learned
* Improve CAD standards, libraries, and procedures
Offshore Team Steering
* Define work packages and instructions for offshore teams
* Lead daily/weekly alignment rituals
* Monitor quality and ensure seamless integration with local teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Project Managers, Construction, Procurement, Prefab/Module Shop, BIM, and QA/QC
* Participate in constructibility and model coordination workshops
* Support engineering teams with drafting/modelling for complex challenges
* Act as key CAD interface with suppliers and external partners
KPI Management
* Track productivity, rework rates, offshore performance, and on-time delivery
* Provide regular reporting to Engineering and Project Management
* Use KPIs to drive continuous improvement
YOUR PROFILE :
Background
* Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, HVAC/Piping or equivalent
* 10–15+ years of detailed design experience
* 3–7 years of CAD/Design team leadership
* Strong knowledge of CAD/BIM 3D modelling, engineering documentation, and constructibility
Technical Skills
* Solidworks, Solidworks PDM / 3DExperience
* AutoCAD 2D, Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage
* Knowledge of CAD standards, libraries, templates, naming conventions
* Ability to troubleshoot complex models and drawings
* Multidisciplinary coordination (Piping, E&I, HVAC, MEP, Supports)
Languages
* French: Fluent
* English: Fluent
Nice to Have
* Experience in modular data centers, energy, or oil & gas
* Experience with CAD/BIM automation (Dynamo, Lisp, Python)
* Understanding of engineering calculations and interfaces
