The GL Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for various general accounting functions. This position, in which the individual will be primarily focused on the General Ledger duties of an accounting department performing journal entries, reconciliations and participate in various projects as requested. It is an exciting position for an accountant who wants to work for a fast-paced international company and grow in the corporate accounting field while experiencing the full breadth of the accounting function. Perform monthly activities which would include processing journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, managing specific accounting system subledgers, Inventory accounting etc. Assist with documenting and updating processes and procedures (including Desk Level Procedures Evaluate ways to leverage the systems more effectively to improve the existing processes and procedures Assist with completion of internal and external audits Other duties which may be assigned as deemed appropriate based on experience and skillsets Minimum 5 years of experience working within an accounting organization and participating in close activities BA/BS in accounting and GL accounting background Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle process including purchasing, accounts payable, order management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, inventory cycle. KNowledge in BE-GAAP and/or IFRS SAP accounting system experience Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills Fundamental and working knowledge of accounting principles and experience with Inventory accounting Experience working in a fast pace/high growth environment where they have shown an ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a given time Nice to Have: Project accounting experience a plus Multi-currency accounting a plus A mix of public audit and corporate accounting experience a plus Offer Hybrid work environment - 2 days of homeworking Company car and/or company bike 100% reimbursement public transportation Group insurance & Health insurance Mealvouchers & Ecocheques, internet@home, mobile phone subscription Free yearly flu vaccination
