Nowjobs is a digital staffing platform active in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. We connect tens of thousands of businesses with the largest pool of flexible workers in those markets. Apart from smart, automated matching, we cover the full payroll process, as well as planning, time registration and in-app chat. Given our focus on simplicity and UX, we're able to serve both the small bakery or shop around the corner all the way up to large companies like McDonalds, Carrefour, Tomorrowland, Just Eat Takeaway, etc.
We're a large high-growth business that operates like a scale-up, with clear goals & fast decision making. We're now looking for an experienced Product Researcher to join our Product team to accelerate our customer and market insights.
We have offices in Ghent, Paris and Utrecht, but the role will be based in our Ghent office in a hybrid regime (3/5 days in office).
What sets us apart from the typical SaaS research role is that we combine a B2B-SaaS-like product for our business customers with a B2C product for our candidates. This offers a unique set of research challenges and a scale of user base which is rarely found in SaaS.
Help us grow
Our mission.
We want to become the largest, 100% digital staffing platform for flexi’s and students in the EU. If we succeed, we will soon all be living in the Bahamas. At least, that's our dream! The app does it all, but without human forces, our mission is doomed to fail. So let's do it!
Ambitious? Yes.
Possible? Definitely. Or almost, anyway, because we are still looking for a backend developer.
NOWJOBS is looking for a Product Researcher.
A NOWJOBBER in a few words? Changer, team player, grateful and goal-getter. Did we just describe your character, then you might be our new colleague.
About the role
• You will be the dedicated researcher supporting our product teams to accelerate customer and market insights, helping them solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business.
• You will provide deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and market opportunities through both qualitative and quantitative research.
• Your primary focus will be direct customer engagement and market research in coordination with the Product Managers and Product Marketing manager. You will conduct user interviews, surveys, focus groups, and field studies to understand what our customers need today and what they will need in 2 years from now.
• You will design and execute comprehensive user behavior analysis using event tracking and product data to understand patterns like: what vacancies attract the most candidate inflow, what candidates receive the most vacancy invites, what drives successful contract completion, and how we can optimize user flows to help users fill jobs faster.
• You will establish and maintain our user research infrastructure, including research repositories, customer feedback loops, competitive intelligence systems, and analytics dashboards that provide actionable insights to product teams.
• You will translate complex user behavior data and qualitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for product strategy and feature development, working closely with Product Managers to prioritize initiatives based on evidence.
• You will collaborate with Product Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure research insights inform go-to-market strategies and customer success initiatives.
• You will track industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging user needs to identify future opportunities and threats, providing strategic input for our product roadmap.
• You will measure and analyze the impact of product changes on user behavior and business metrics, creating feedback loops that inform iterative product improvements.
• You will champion user-centered design principles across the organization, ensuring that customer insights influence decision-making at all levels through compelling data-driven narratives and presentations.
In an ideal world...
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product research, user research, or market research roles, preferably in technology companies or digital platforms.
• Proven experience with both qualitative research methods (user interviews, user testing, usability testing) and quantitative analysis (surveys, behavioral analytics, statistical analysis, A/B testing).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (SQL, Python/R, analytics platforms like GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar) and ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills in English + either Dutch or French, with the ability to present complex research findings to diverse audiences from individual contributors to C-level executives.
• Experience with research operations including participant recruitment, study design, research repository management, and establishing research processes at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including product, design, engineering, and commercial functions.
• Experience in marketplace, two-sided platform, or B2B/B2C hybrid business models is highly preferred.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously and deliver insights that impact product decisions.
• Curiosity-driven mindset with ability to identify the right research questions and choose appropriate methodologies to answer them.
• Experience with agile development processes and understanding of how research integrates with product discovery and delivery cycles.
