Spantech Delivery Manager - Job Description
General Overview
Seeking an experienced project manager who is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of Spantech projects. He/she will lead projects from initiation to close: checking CAD done by our design team, hiring subcontractors, launch Production Orders both internally (Spantech plants) and externally with vendors, plan and budget projects, and supervise the installation and dismantling of projects. This person should be knowledgeable about project management in the construction industry, ideally in the modular construction segment, and familiar with CAD and ERP systems. He/She should work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget.
Responsibilities
Planning:
* Define the project scope
* Create a construction estimate & schedule, incl. installation teams & construction equipment required, based on Spantech method statements, benchmarks and previous project experiences
* Create a construction project management plan
* Prepare BOM and POs to our factories and sub-contractors based on CAD done by our design team
Supervising teams:
* Brief (internal or external) onsite manager and installation team(s) that are assigned by our planning team
* Oversee the performance of the subcontractors, site manager and other members of the construction team
* Communicate goals to the team and make sure the meet them; that includes performance, precision of work, any requirements
* Ensure that Site Manager and site workers follow health and safety standards
Staying on Budget:
* Create a construction project budget and monitor it throughout the project
* Negotiate and purchase construction materials in line with tender or customer requirements, also machinery & equipment onsite, and subcontractors for technical installations
* Tracking expenses of the crew, subcontractors, and equipment
Updating Stakeholders:
* Create status reports for project stakeholders: client as well as Spantech management
* Support building permit process, licenses and meet code regulations
* Capture & document information regarding H&S methodology and supervision, site access, organisation, structures, processes, in view of continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong project & team management and leadership skills
* Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Dutch (other languages are a plus)
* Project management experience such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling
Education & Training
* Bachelor's degree (ideally construction management, civil engineering, business engineering, or technical related fields) or equivalent through experience
* Knowledge of construction management best practices
* Good command of Excel and familiar with CAD/Inventor and ERP systems
* Familiar with rules and regulations related to construction
Work Experience
* At least three years of project management experience in the construction industry, event industry or construction specialties, ideally in modular construction
* Years of construction management experience managing budgets and schedules
* Prior experience managing a construction site
* Experience leading construction teams
* Proven risk management and Health & Safety experience in construction projects
