We are looking for a Senior Demand Planning Lead with strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to influence across complex, matrixed environments, to join our Global Supply Chain team at UCB based at our campus located in Belgium Braine-L'alleud
About the role
In this highly visible and strategic role, you will be responsible for leading demand planning processes across a global product portfolio, including commercialized products, lifecycle transitions, and new product launches.
You'll lead and consolidate the mid-term demand plan by combining statistical forecasting with business insights and translate those into planning scenarios within OMP. You will be instrumental in improving forecast accuracy, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and contributing to key planning forums including S&OE, S&OP, and financial cycles.
Who you will work with
You'll partner closely with:
* Market Supply Organizations (MSOs), Finance Forecasting teams.
* Supply Network Operations Team, Asset Supply Planning Leads, Brand Supply Leads, and Global Customer Service (GCS)
What you will do:
* Lead the demand planning cycle for a defined global product portfolio, including launches and LoEs
* Consolidate the mid-term forecast using statistical models, business inputs, and OMP
* Identify upside/downside risks in the demand plan and propose mitigation scenarios
* Drive integration of demand assumptions into planning cycles: S&OE, S&OP, and financial planning
* Track and report forecast KPIs (accuracy, BIAS, risk drivers, etc.)
* Facilitate Demand Review Meetings and drive cross-functional consensus
* Support local/regional teams in pre-demand forums and SIOP cycles; act as a coach to MSOs
* Influence global alignment on demand assumptions through structured governance and forums
* Support continuous improvement of planning systems (OMP upgrades, process harmonization)
* Collaborate with GCS to improve TPA forecast accuracy
Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
* 10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, ideally in a global and regulated environment (e.g., pharma, FMCG)
* Strong understanding of IBP, S&OE, S&OP, and related planning frameworks
* Hands-on experience with planning systems such as OMP, SAP, or Anaplan
* Certification in APICS, or equivalent is a strong asset
* Proven experience influencing stakeholders and facilitating cross-regional processes
* Strong analytical and communication skills; able to synthesize complexity and drive action
* Fluent in English (written and verbal); other languages are a plus
