Objective
The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence within the warehouse team. As the operational leader, they inspire and motivate a group of warehouse operators to achieve peak performance while fostering a strong sense of teamwork. In addition to their leadership duties, the Warehouse Lead is hands-on, dedicating 40% of their time to performing key operational tasks and ensuring the smooth handling of goods. Administrative responsibilities also form an essential part of their role.
Operational leadership
* Lead, inspire, and develop the team by motivating, coaching, and guiding them to success.
* Oversee task distribution within the team to ensure efficiency and balance.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the warehouse.
* Adjust work schedules dynamically to meet fluctuating workloads.
Warehouse Operations
* Manage incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring smooth operations and proper handling.
* Supervise the automated sorting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
Administration
* Validate and track the arrival and departure of containers and trucks.
* Prepare, review, and sign off on CMRs and loading lists.
* Oversee daily work planning to ensure seamless operations.
Relationship Management
* Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, customers, logistics partners, and other departments.
* Actively participate in both digital and in-person meetings to maintain communication and collaboration.
