The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL), member of the Eurosystem, is currently seeking to recruit a(n): OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (m/f/d) - career A1 Full time - (ref. Within the "Operational Risk Prevention and Cybersecurity" section – which is part of the "Financial and Operational Risk Management" department – and as part of the second line of defense in the internal control model, you are responsible to proactively manage the organisation's operational risks by minimising operational risks across the BCL's activities. This role involves designing and implementing an effective risk management framework, ensuring alignment with the rules and procedures in force at the BCL and/or in the Eurosystem, strategic objectives, and fostering a culture of risk awareness across all levels. You will participate in the risk prevention team's tasks to assess and evaluate the bank's operational risks
You will support the design of appropriate controls to keep risk exposure within acceptable levels.
You will assist and support reporting activities on the banks operational risk status, including periodic reporting, the drafting of the quarterly risk situation and contribute to the development of the operational risk mapping.
You will analyse the Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and assess the potential impact of emerging risks.
You document the identified risks according to the operational risk management taxonomy.
You will provide guidance and support as a subject matter expert.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate operational risk requirements into daily operations and project planning. You will provide training and increase awareness of operational risks, promoting best practices throughout the organisation.
Master's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, computer science or similar;
A first experience in Operational Risk Management in the banking environment;
Ability to work alone and in a team;
French and English are required, knowledge of Luxembourgish and German is considered an asset.
