Summary of Your Role
As Credit & Collections Manager, you will take operational leadership of credit management and collection activities in both Belgium and the Netherlands. You will lead a small team, report to management, and act as a bridge between the two markets.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Collection & Accounts Receivable Management
* Proactively follow up on customer payments and manage outstanding receivables
* Maintain telephone, written, and in-person contact with customers
* Lead dispute resolution discussions
* Report on aged receivables and prepare cash flow forecasts
* Analyze the creditworthiness of (new) customers
* Set and evaluate credit limits
* Advise on risks and deteriorating customer profiles
* Participate in month-end closings and reporting
Leadership & Coaching
* Manage a small team (up to 3 employees)
* Distribute tasks and monitor performance
* Guide and develop team members
* Navigate within a matrix organization
Your profile
We are looking for a strong and experienced professional with a solid background in finance and collections, who takes ownership and can operate easily in an international context.
What you bring:
* At least 5 years of experience in credit control, collections, or financial risk management
* Leadership experience (preferably within a matrix structure)
* Fluency in French and Dutch (both written and spoken) – required
* English is a plus
* Willingness to visit customers in Belgium and the Netherlands
* Hands-on mentality, assertive communication style, and strong analytical skills
* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) and MS Excel
