Job description
In a world where clean soil sustains cities and ecosystems, your impact starts here
At Amaris Consulting, we believe that healthy environments are the foundation of resilient urban development. As an Industrial Project Manager, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team—engineers, geologists, biologists, and environmental specialists—to turn complex soil and groundwater challenges into sustainable, real-world solutions. You’ll lead projects, guide clients, and help shape a more liveable future.
What you’ll do
You’ll be at the heart of environmental transformation—guiding public and private clients through complex soil and groundwater challenges with independence, integrity, and scientific rigor.
* 🌍 Lead end-to-end projects – From preliminary and detailed soil investigations to risk assessments, remediation planning, and on-site monitoring during construction or infrastructure works
* 🧪 Design and coordinate field campaigns – Plan sampling strategies, supervise execution, and ensure analyses meet project objectives
* 📑 Translate data into clear insights – Interpret soil and groundwater data and deliver evidence-based reports that align with both scientific and regulatory standards
* ⚖️ Navigate regulatory frameworks – Integrate local legislation such as the Flemish Soil Decree and Vlarebo into your technical advisory
* 🤝 Supervise field operations – Oversee remediation works, manage teams, and drive quality, timeliness, and budget control
* 🔄 Collaborate across disciplines – Work with geologists, engineers, and ecologists to develop integrated environmental solutions
* 📈 Own your portfolio – Take responsibility for progress tracking, quality control, client relations, invoicing, and project aftercare
What you bring
You’re not just an environmental expert—you’re a solution-oriented communicator and team player, ready to tackle technical, regulatory, and strategic challenges.
* 🎓 A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, chemistry, soil science, or a related scientific field
* 🌱 Solid expertise in contaminant behavior, geohydrology, or ecotoxicological risk assessment
* 🧭 Strong planning and organizational skills—you anticipate challenges, act proactively, and seek solutions
* 💬 Clear communication skills—you simplify complex topics and tailor your message to diverse stakeholders
* 🤝 An independent mindset with team spirit—you lead your work with initiative while collaborating toward shared results
* 📚 Knowledge of local environmental legislation—familiarity with the Flemish Soil Decree and Vlarebo is a strong asset
* 🌍 Languages: Fluency in Dutch is required; English is a strong asset, and French is a plus
* ✅ A high standard of quality—you take full ownership from planning through to successful delivery
What we offer
You’ll join a close-knit, multidisciplinary team of soil experts, planners, and analysts dedicated to sustainable land use. Through peer collaboration, hands-on fieldwork, and continuous learning, you’ll make a real impact while growing your expertise. At Amaris, we combine global reach with local relevance—and your leadership will help shape both.
