Overview
Site-based leadership role within a focus on laboratory equipment service and maintencance. You will lead a team responsible for maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repair of laboratory instrumentation. This role suits someone with a background in lab equipment services, metrology, or field/service engineering who has moved into team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of technicians/engineers covering maintenance, calibration, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and repair of lab instrumentation
* Oversee preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective actions
* Act as escalation point for complex technical issues across analytical and lab equipment
* Manage vendors and third-party service providers for instrumentation and spare parts
* Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and quality standards in a regulated environment
* Coordinate service schedules, upgrades, and installation/commissioning activities
* Track KPIs, service performance, and reporting (SLA, uptime, compliance metrics)
* Coach and develop technical teams (service engineers, calibration technicians, metrology specialists)
Key Requirements
* Experience in managing technical or service teams
* Strong background in maintenance either xphnsxz on-site of field service
* Exposure to lab equipment such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, spectrometers, balances, incubators, centrifuges or similar
* Experience managing vendors, service contracts, or external engineers
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Fluent English and Dutch required
