Production Engineer (M/F)

As we expand our global footprint, we are looking for a Production Engineer to optimize our current production line, organize the future production hall, and temporarily replace the Production Manager during absences.
This strategic role will strengthen our operational efficiency and management continuity.
Let’s talk about your role
The Production Engineer is responsible for leading the support to manufacturing operations. This role ensures efficient production processes, optimizes manufacturing layouts, prepares standardized work instructions, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key responsibilities :
Production Process Engineering
* Plan, design, and improve production processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
* Analyze current operations and implement engineering solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Layout and Equipment Planning
* Develop and maintain optimal production line layouts (machinery, workstations, and material flow).
* Lead capacity planning and equipment installation projects.
* Ensure ergonomic and safety standards are incorporated into layouts.
Work Instructions & Documentation
* Prepare, review, and update work instructions (standard operating procedures / job instructions) for production staff.
* Ensure documentation complies with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
* Provide training to production teams based on the work instructions.
Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
* Implement Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and quality.
* Monitor KPIs such as cycle time, yield, downtime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
* Drive cost-reduction projects while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Coordinate with R&D, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams for smooth product launches and process changes.
* Support global engineering teams to share best practices and align with corporate standards.
Back-up for the Production Manager whenever needed
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field;
* 5+ years of experience in production engineering;
* Strong knowledge of production line design, process optimization, and equipment layout;
* Experience in preparing work instructions and process documentation;
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies;
* Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills;
* Fluent in French & in English;
* Basic knowledge of ERP;
* Knowledge of SolidWorks.
