Our client, a well-established player in the financial sector, is currently looking for a Senior Accountant with a proven background in fiduciary or audit to join their finance team in Brussels. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who’s used to working with multiple clients or complex financial environments and now wishes to take a key in-house role. Job Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with BE GAAP and IFRS. Ensure tax compliance and adherence to all financial regulations. Oversee general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings. Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, preparing required documentation. Monitor cash flow and optimize financial resources. Continuously improve accounting processes, tools, and internal controls. Work closely with other departments to align financial and operational objectives. Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally gained in a fiduciary (fiduciaire) or audit firm. In-depth knowledge of BE GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail. Capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Confident communicator able to liaise effectively with non-financial stakeholders. Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong asset. Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented.
