Senior Credit Officer Role
Job Summary:
As a Senior Credit Officer, you will be responsible for assessing credit requests from various business units, identifying risks, and proposing optimal financing structures. Your duties will include reviewing and monitoring collateral to ensure adequate coverage throughout the life of the credit facility, as well as monitoring and performing periodic reviews of existing exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Affirm or deny credit requests based on thorough assessments
* Determine optimal financing structures to mitigate risks
* Maintain accurate records of collateral and credit facilities
* Conduct regular reviews of existing exposures to ensure compliance with established guidelines
* Collaborate with the Head of Credit on all credit-related projects
* Provide timely and efficient credit support to business units
* Ensure customer credit files are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements
About You:
We seek a skilled and experienced individual who can excel in this role. The successful candidate will possess a degree in Banking, Finance, or Economics and have at least 10 years of experience in private or corporate banking in Europe. They must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a credit department or risk department.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Banking, Finance, or Economics)
* Minimum 10 years of experience in private or corporate banking in Europe
* At least 5 years of experience in a credit department or risk department
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset)
