About the Role:
I am looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with strong experience in the banking or insurance sector, capable of translating complex business needs into clear, structured functional specifications. This role is based in Belgium and requires native‐level proficiency in French or Dutch, along with fluent English, as you will work daily in a multilingual environment.
You will analyse business processes, refine requirements, and guide delivery teams toward scalable, compliant, and user‐centric solutions. You will operate in an agile setup with iterative sprints, close collaboration with business stakeholders, and continuous refinement of scope and priorities.
What You Will Do:
Analysis & Requirements:
Collect, analyse, and document business requirements across banking or insurance domains (payments, lending, onboarding, compliance, claims, policy management, etc.).Refine existing user stories into clear, actionable functional specifications.Model and optimise business processes using BPMN and propose improvements aligned with system capabilities and regulatory expectations.Challenge assumptions, validate needs, and ensure functional clarity across stakeholders.
Functional Design & Translation:
Translate business requirements into detailed functional designs and specifications for development teams.Ensure functional consistency across systems, channels, and customer journeys.Collaborate with architects, developers, and UX teams to shape solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy.Contribute to documentation, functional governance, and continuous improvement of analysis practices.
Delivery & Support:
Support development teams during build phases by clarifying requirements and validating functional decisions.Prepare and execute functional test scenarios and support UAT.Assist with incident analysis and resolution in collaboration with technical teams.Provide guidance to business users on newly delivered features and process changes.
Working Conditions:
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 7h36/day.On‐site presence required on Mondays and Thursdays in Brussels.Remote or on‐site work possible on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays .
Languages:
French or Dutch : native‐level spoken and written proficiency in one national language, with passive understanding of the other.English : fluent reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
