Our client is a very well-known FMCG company with Benelux headquarters in the southern Brussels area. To support their growth, they are looking to recruit a Head of Finance Benelux.
The role
As Head of Finance Benelux, you are ultimately responsible for the financial management of the Benelux organization. You act as a strategic business partner for the commercial management and play a pivotal role within the local management team. Together you will bring the ambitious growth journey to life.
Key responsibilities
* Leading and developing the finance team in the Benelux (approx. 10 people).
* Acting as a trusted business partner for your internal stakeholders.
* Active membership of the Benelux Management Team.
* Ultimate responsibility for financial operations, including accounting, controlling, and reporting.
* Guiding modernization of the accounting and reporting processes, including the implementation of automated reporting, incl. Power BI dashboarding.
* Promoting continuous improvement and efficiency within financial processes.
* Supporting commercial negotiations, pricing, and strategic investment decisions.
* Contributing to the organization's growth ambitions, with a specific focus on the Dutch market.
* Potentially becoming involved in reporting related to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in due course.
Profile
* You hold a master's degree in Applied Economics or Finance.
* You have at least 10 years of experience in a senior commercial finance role.
* You have relevant experience in a FMCG or consumer good environment.
* You have proven experience in people management and possess strong coaching skills to elevate a team.
* You are a strategic business partner with experience in change management.
* You have a very good level of both Dutch and French and have professional proficiency in English.
* You have effective communication skills.
* You have a "can-do" mentality, challenge the status quo, and are an open-minded team player who leads change.
* Knowledge of SAP is a plus; affinity with the implementation of tools such as Power BI is desirable.
* You are willing to travel regularly (on average twice a month) to the Dutch office.
