Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the IT infrastructure that supports our organization's operations and growth.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performing, while continuously seeking opportunities for automation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux servers to ensure availability, performance, and security.
* Perform system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance to maintain operational integrity.
* Oversee and support virtualization and cloud environments, ensuring uptime and scalability.
* Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance or configuration problems promptly.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to streamline routine tasks and deployments.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, incidents, and recovery procedures.
* Collaborate with network, security, and development teams to align infrastructure with business goals.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements for efficiency and resilience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Experience managing Windows and Linux systems in enterprise environments.
* Solid understanding of virtualization (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
* Good knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure security.
* Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and orchestration.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Education & Certifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar infrastructure-focused role.
* Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, RHCE, or CompTIA Security+ are a strong plus.
