About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Internal Communication Consultant to lead and develop the internal communication strategy for one of Europe’s most innovative and high-profile organisations. This is a long-term opportunity where you’ll have a direct impact on how the company communicates with and engages its employees across all levels.
Overview
* Responsible for shaping and executing the internal communication strategy together with senior management.
* Collect and curate relevant company information via internal networks and integrate it into a multimedia communication plan.
* Ensure clear, engaging communication that reaches and resonates with the entire organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the internal communication strategy and translate it into concrete plans and priorities.
* Collaborate closely with C-level management; advise them on impactful, coherent communication across the organisation.
* Support managers in their team communication.
* Define key messages and content for internal events with stakeholders.
* Ensure strategic decisions and change programs are communicated clearly and consistently.
Required Experience & Skills
* Master’s degree or equivalent through experience.
* 10+ years of communication experience, with at least 5 years in internal communication.
* Proven experience working with and advising C-level.
* Strong strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills.
* Excellent writing and journalistic skills.
* Experience with multichannel communication, digital platforms, and internal campaigns.
* Stress-resistant, discreet, and able to handle sensitive/complex topics.
* Leadership experience: coaching, motivating, and managing team members.
* Languages: Dutch (native), with excellent command of French and English.
Must-Have Experience
* 5+ years as a Communication Consultant (senior level).
* Proven collaboration with C-level.
* 5+ years in people management (senior).
* Strategic/content strategy expertise.
* Storytelling skills.
* Strong academic background (Master’s or Bachelor’s).
* Internal communication expertise (min. 5 years).
* Excellent Dutch, French, and English.
Nice-to-Have Experience
* Change communication.
* Copywriting for corporate, marketing, or product content.
* Developing internal communication plans.
* Awareness of digital communication, content marketing, and social media trends.
