We're currently partnered with a Big 4 consultancy as they are seeking an Application Architect for a project related collaboration.

Mission Objectives

The mission aims to:

• Evaluate the overall performance of the application solution, both for transactional user operations and batch processing;
• Analyze the relevance of the microservices decomposition regarding:
• Functional responsibilities;
• Inter-application flows (synchronous and asynchronous);
• Consistency and volume constraints;
• Identify root causes of observed or latent issues (performance, excessive coupling, database contention, etc.);
• Assess transactional robustness and data consistency management in a distributed environment (choreography, outbox/inbox patterns, idempotency);
• Evaluate resilience and observability levels (monitoring, metrics, logs, traceability, recovery after incidents) against SPW requirements;

Required Skills

• Ability to lead complex audit engagements xlxgzvr (T4 – Expert)
• Experience with distributed consistency patterns (T4 – Expert)
• Proven expertise in microservices architectures (T4 – Expert)
• Strong executive reporting and synthesis skills (T4 – Expert)
• Mastery of Java / Spring Boot (T4 – Expert)

Location

Namur, Belgium (2-3 days onsite per week)
