Functiontitle Community Manager Organisation Cyber Security Coalition Activity domain The mission of the Cyber Security Coalition is to bolster Belgium’s cyber security resilience by building a strong cyber security ecosystem. We do so by bringing together the skills and expertise of the academic world, the private sector and public authorities on a trust-based platform aimed at fostering information exchange, operational peer-to-peer collaboration, making recommendations for more effective policies and guidelines, and finally carrying out joint awarenessraising campaigns aimed at citizens and organisations. www.cybersecuritycoalition.be Job description Member engagement & relationships • Be the central point of contact for members—driving interaction, satisfaction, and loyalty through proactive communication and support. • Translate organisational objectives into engagement strategies that boost retention, participation, and overall community health. • Lead diversity & inclusion initiatives that broaden representation (including women and underrepresented groups). Community development & advocacy • Design and implement programmes that promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and inclusivity. • Represent the community’s voice internally and externally to influence decisions and uphold our values. Content & communications • Create clear, compelling content (presentations, briefings, newsletters, annual report, press releases/kits) that amplifies the Coalition’s mission. • Ensure consistent messaging across digital channels, events, newsletters, and media. • Shape web strategy to increase site traffic and engagement. • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and (when needed) act as spokesperson. Events • Lead member focused events: plan, manage logistics (venue, speakers, promotion), and deliver high quality experiences. • Prepare the yearly General Assembly (logistics, invitations, slide deck, voting). • Track event performance and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Data-driven improvement • Monitor engagement metrics, analyse feedback, and provide actionable insights to optimise initiatives and demonstrate impact. Profile We’re not looking for a “unicorn.” If you can confidently take on several of these responsibilities—and you’re willing to learn the rest—we’d love to hear from you. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders. • Experience building and maintaining networks—and a deep respect for volunteers and their contribution. • A “think-and-do” mindset: you can turn ideas into concrete plans. • Experience in community management, marketing/PR/journalism, communications, or similar fields. • Experience with digital platforms (CRM, social, SEO) is a plus. • Genuine interest in cyber security (no need to be a technician: policy, awareness, comms and programme skills matter). • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to manage multiple projects with different deadlines. • Solid computer skills (M365, digital marketing tools, community platforms). • Open to occasional travel in Belgium Languages Professional proficiency in Dutch and French, and good command of English.
