Description de l'offre

Functiontitle Community Manager

Organisation Cyber Security Coalition

Activity domain The mission of the Cyber Security Coalition is to bolster Belgium's cyber security resilience by building a strong cyber security ecosystem. We do so by bringing together the skills and expertise of the academic world, the private sector and public authorities on a trust-based platform aimed at fostering information exchange, operational peer-to-peer collaboration, making recommendations for more effective policies and guidelines, and finally carrying out joint awarenessraising campaigns aimed at citizens and organisations.

Job description

Member engagement & relationships

• Be the central point of contact for members—driving interaction, satisfaction, and loyalty through proactive communication and support.

• Translate organisational objectives into engagement strategies that boost retention, participation, and overall community health.

• Lead diversity & inclusion initiatives that broaden representation (including women and underrepresented groups).
Community development & advocacy

• Design and implement programmes that promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and inclusivity.

• Represent the community's voice internally and externally to influence decisions and uphold our values.
Content & communications

• Create clear, compelling content (presentations, briefings, newsletters, annual report, press releases/kits) that amplifies the Coalition's mission.

• Ensure consistent messaging across digital channels, events, newsletters, and media.

• Shape web strategy to increase site traffic and engagement.

• Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and (when needed) act as spokesperson.
Events

• Lead member focused events: plan, manage logistics (venue, speakers, promotion), and deliver high quality experiences.

• Prepare the yearly General Assembly (logistics, invitations, slide deck, voting).

• Track event performance and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Data-driven improvement

• Monitor engagement metrics, analyse feedback, and provide actionable insights to optimise initiatives and demonstrate impact.

Profile

We're not looking for a "unicorn." If you can confidently take on several of these responsibilities—and you're willing to learn the rest—we'd love to hear from you.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

• Experience building and maintaining networks—and a deep respect for volunteers and their contribution.

• A "think-and-do" mindset: you can turn ideas into concrete plans.

• Experience in community management, marketing/PR/journalism, communications, or similar fields.

• Experience with digital platforms (CRM, social, SEO) is a plus.

• Genuine interest in cyber security (no need to be a technician: policy, awareness, comms and programme skills matter).

• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to manage
multiple projects with different deadlines.

• Solid computer skills (M365, digital marketing tools, community platforms).

• Open to occasional travel in Belgium

Languages Professional proficiency in Dutch and French, and good command of English.

Place of work/ work regime flexible work options (including hybrid and openess to 80% part-time)

Duration of the mission Unlimited duration

Why you'll love working here

• Real impact: A chance to shape the future of cyber security in Belgium and make a difference to society.

• Inclusive culture: Diversity of perspectives is how we innovate.

• Growth & mentorship: Learn on the job, access coaching and peer support, and grow your skills through our community and partners.

• Working culture: A professional and collegial team, where we actively support each other

• Broad community network: reaching expertise of the academic world, the private sector and public authorities

Our commitment to diversity & inclusion

We actively encourage women and underrepresented groups to apply. We welcome all backgrounds and non-traditional career paths. If your experience doesn't perfectly match every listed skill, apply anyway: your potential and growth mindset matter. We're happy to discuss reasonable adjustments during the hiring process.
