Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Project Manager to lead two business-critical initiatives within our Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) department: the Hangar Expansion Program and the development of external partnerships for Line Maintenance. These projects are essential to ensuring the long-term operational resilience, scalability, and regulatory compliance of Brussels Airlines.

Lead Temporary Hangar Setup
1. Define technical and operational requirements for temporary hangars
2. Oversee installation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
3. Support procurement and contract negotiations
4. Ensure regulatory compliance (BCAA, EASA, BAC)
Drive the Set-up of the Future Hangar
5. Define project scope and lead feasibility studies from an M&E perspective
6. Coordinate with the Facility department and external partners for permits and approvals
7. Provide operational input during design and engineering phases
8. Monitor construction progress, challenge execution, and manage risks
9. Ensure alignment with safety, quality, and budget expectations
Lead the development of external partnerships for Line Maintenance
10. Define the scope and strategic direction for engaging external partners in Line Maintenance activities
11. Drive cross-functional project execution across key departments
12. Manage tender processes and supplier selection
13. Align CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) oversight and coordinate with Network/OCC (Operational Control Center)
14. Ensure successful operational kick-off
Ensure Technical & Cost Control
15. Review and validate technical assumptions and project scenarios
16. Conduct cost analyses and identify savings opportunities
17. Monitor budget performance and support supplier negotiations
Coordinate Stakeholders & Communication
18. Act as liaison between internal teams, Brussels Airport Company, and external partners
19. Ensure seamless coordination to avoid operational disruptions
20. Provide regular updates to leadership and regulatory bodies
21. Maintain transparent documentation and risk management records
Contribute to Project Management & Continuous Improvement
22. Adapt involvement based on project phase and workload
23. Take on additional M&E projects aligned with departmental goals
24. Apply best practices in project execution and closure
25. Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity

Where do you land?
You’ll be part of the Maintenance & Engineering department, which plays a vital role in ensuring our aircraft are safe, reliable, and ready to fly. M&E is structured into a CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) and a Part-145 maintenance entity, each responsible for different aspects of aircraft maintenance and compliance.
You will be part of the CAMO entity and report to the Head of Digital & Development and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facility, Procurement, Finance, Safety & Compliance, and Network Operations. Your office will be the Technical Fleet Center in the vicinity of the runway at Brussels Airport with a regular presence in our Hangar 41.

26. Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience in aviation/MRO
27. Proven experience managing aviation infrastructure projects and/or outsourcing initiatives
28. Strong knowledge of P145 maintenance requirements and EASA/BCAA regulations
29. Excellent project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills
30. Financial acumen: cost analysis, budgeting, and contract negotiation
31. Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch and/or French is a plus
32. Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools; AMOS knowledge is a plus
33. Experience working with airport authorities and regulatory bodies
34. Familiarity with CAMO oversight and line maintenance operations
35. Background in managing temporary facilities or large-scale construction projects
36. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to various audiences
