About the Company Our client is a fast-growing international non-life insurance company in Belgium. With a culture grounded in agility, collaboration, and accountability, the company is now looking for an experienced Head of Claims to lead its claims operations and drive best-in-class service across its European footprint.
The Head of Claims will lead the end-to-end claims management function across the company’s European markets. You will play a key role in shaping the claims strategy, overseeing operational claims performance and fostering a culture of customer-centric decision-making.
Oversee claims governance frameworks, reserving practices, and financial controls in alignment with Solvency II regulations.
Establish robust claims data analytics and reporting mechanisms for performance monitoring and loss forecasting.
Build and mentor a small but high-performing claims team in Belgium and coordinate local claims handling partners across Europe.
Collaborate closely with underwriting, operations, and systems teams to improve claims automation and process integration.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with fluency in English and either French or Dutch (additional European languages are a plus).
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in economics, law, business, or insurance management.
Broad exposure to European insurance markets within a collaborative leadership team.
