Asset Delivery is the Fluxys division responsible for developing and building decarbonisation infrastructure. This includes solutions for transporting and importing clean gas molecules, such as hydrogen, captured carbon and natural gas.
For its Technical Development Terminals departement at our headquarters in Brussels, The Asset Delivery division is looking for a Senior Contract Manager (m/f/x).
Job purpose
The Contract Manager ensures compliance with contracts and anticipates claims and variation orders during project execution and elsewhere, overseeing clauses governing penalties and performance guarantees. In the project development phase, the Contract Manager, in tandem with the Project Manager, will work in close collaboration with the Legal and Procurement department, determine the appropriate contracting strategy, and help draft contracts and their annexes, reducing contractual risks, not only within the EPC(m) contract(s) for the project in question, but also between the EPC(m) and commercial contracts.
Your responsibilities
* You will suggest the best contracting approach to take based on project specifics
* You will help draft and review contracts and annexes to ensure consistency and alignment with project goals
* You will screen and analyse contractual correspondence to guarantee compliance
* You will assess and manage claims and variation orders from a legal and contractual perspective
* You will advise the project manager on responses to claims and contractual disputes
* You will prepare documentation for legal teams in case of major claims
* You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective contract management and integration within business processes
About you
* Master’sdegreein engineering
* Atleast10yearsofexperienceincontract management
* At least 5 years of experience in project management for projects with a CAPEX exceeding €100 million
* Strong knowledge of contracting strategies and contract management principles
* Analytical skills for assessing claims and variation orders
* Experience in stakeholder management and negotiation
* Fluent Dutch, French and English
* High level of autonomy, requiring minimal managerial support
* Involvement in both Belgian and international projects, depending on the role
