Lead Mechanical Project Engineer (Food & Beverage / Process Piping)

A growing industrial engineering team is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to support a strong pipeline of projects within the food & beverage production sector.
The role focuses on leading small to mid-sized mechanical installations, primarily involving stainless steel process piping systems and mechanical equipment integration within food processing facilities.
You will take ownership of projects from engineering and preparation through installation and commissioning, working closely with customers, subcontractors and site teams.
Role:
• Lead mechanical project delivery from engineering through commissioning
• Prepare technical specifications and mechanical design documentation
• Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and piping materials
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors and internal engineering teams
• Monitor project budgets, timelines and delivery milestones
• Supervise installation activities and site works during project execution
• Support commissioning and handover of mechanical installations
Requirements:
• Experience leading mechanical projects within industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of process piping systems and mechanical installations
• Experience working within the food & beverage or process industry
• Familiarity with stainless steel piping systems (Inox / RVS)
• Experience coordinating suppliers, subcontractors and site activities
• Comfortable managing projects from engineering through installation and commissioning
• Strong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary project teams
