eRoots Analytics is a technological startup developing breakthrough software and analysis for modern power systems. Founded in 2022, our team of 20+ specialists is focused on solving the challenges of modern grids with high penetration of power-electronic-based resources.
The company was created with support from The Collider accelerator program, an initiative of the Mobile World Congress. We are bringing to the market technologies developed by the CITCEA-UPC group of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which has a strong academic record of accumulated research on the emerging field of specialized analytics for power systems with high penetration of renewables. Your profile
We are looking for a Power Systems, Electrical, Industrial, or Control Engineer ready to make an impact in electrical modeling and simulation.
Must have:
* A strong academic background and solid understanding of power systems.
* Hands-on experience with at least one simulation software (PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, Matlab/Simulink).
* Knowledge of power converter topologies, control schemes, and stability analysis.
* Full professional proficiency in English.
* A collaborative spirit and the drive to thrive in a dynamic, innovative team.
* EU work permit.
Nice to have:
* Experience with multiple simulation platforms.
* Knowledge of a programming language (like Python) for automation and algorithm development.
* Previous experience with grid integration studies or grid code compliance.
* MSc or PhD in control or power systems.
What you will achieve
* Develop and validate high-fidelity models of power electronics equipment (wind turbines, solar PV, batteries, FACTS, others).
* Design and test control strategies to ensure compliance with international grid codes.
* Conduct comprehensive grid integration and stability studies for large-scale projects.
* Support the development of our software tools.
* Contribute to cutting-edge R&D initiatives that push the boundaries of power systems.
