As an Area Sales Manager you are a part of the worldwide sales team selling protein ingredients to the animal FEED industry (feed, pet food and aquafeed). You play a crucial role in the expansion of our customer portfolio and maintaining long-term relationships with our current customers in South East Asia ( Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, South-Korea, Japan,…)
Key responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain major relationships and generate new business
2. Responsible for all aspects of allocated prospects and customers
3. Prepare all aspects of client meetings and presentations to senior procurement and sourcing teams. (nutritionist, veterinaries, purchasers, …)
4. Communicate effectively with the different manufacturing plants within Veos Group
5. Develop detailed product knowledge and in-depth understanding of the pet food, piglet and aquafeed market
6. Responsible for identifying and approaching potential new customers
7. Develop long term customer commitment and relationships with (key account) customers
8. Thinking strategically with the customers and identifying new business opportunities
9. Translating customer demand to the internal VEOS organization
10. Develop and implement an annual sales plan
Qualifications
11. Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience (multi species industry in general would be ideal)
12. Successful track record of growing territory and sales as well as of increasing and exceeding revenue
13. Understanding of manufacturing processes
14. Sales driven, Self-starter personality with strong focus on results
15. Presentation and negotiation skills at senior level in English
16. Willing to travel
