The primary role of this position is to oversee the planning and management of front-end design stages, specifically focusing on business analysis, feasibility, and conceptual design.
This involves collaborating with stakeholders, strategy, and manufacturing sites to develop problem statements, key drivers, and objectives while ensuring strategic and business alignment at all stages.
The successful candidate will lead internal and external resources to create design options, project plans, define budgets, manage risk, and build schedules.
Key responsibilities include consulting on process designs, equipment selection, procurement methods, and quality implications at all stages.
In addition, the candidate will support the transition from front-end engineering to execution and provide guardianship of the conceptual design to ensure that the design cornerstones are maintained.
Knowledge of current engineering services and practices is essential to ensure effective engagement and understanding.
Familiarity with cGMP and market trends in automation, sustainability, validation, and construction is also required to ensure project execution planning in the front-end remains relevant and continuously improves.
Finally, the successful candidate will ensure EHS corporate standards, local legislation, and other quality and regulatory requirements are included in the front-end design proposals to identify and assess potential EHS risks.
