Due to the fast growth of the group, Altenova is currently looking for a
Group Controller
for a permanent position based in Ophasselt (Geraardsbergen). You will be the right hand of the group CFO and responsible for the financial consolidation, reporting, and control of the various entities within the Altenova Group. You act as a strategic business partner to senior management and support data-driven decision-making. You ensure transparency, compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the further professionalization of financial processes across the group. Who are we looking for?
A strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills. Proven experience in a senior controller and/or auditor role. A solid track record in business controlling. Holder of a Master’s degree in Business Economics, Business Administration or related field. Experience in multinational or multi-regional controlling. IT literate with a good understanding of ERP systems. A leader in change management and transformation. An excellent and effective communicator. Fluent in English, Dutch, and French. Willing to travel occasionally. What will you do?
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports at group level. Prepare internal financial reports for the Board of Directors and external reports for the banks, on a quarterly basis. Coordinate the financial consolidation of the various subsidiaries, in the underlying software tool. Analyze financial results and keep a helicopter view over the different processes. Lead the annual budgeting process. Develop financial scenario analyses and business cases. Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, across all entities of the group. Play a key role in the ERP implementation. Advise management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities. Set up and lead a clear project controlling process, analyze and report on profitability of all services offered within Altenova. Set up and lead integration of M&A. Provide financial and strategic support to various departments. Set up transfer pricing model within Altenova. Act as a bridge between finance and other departments, such as operations, HR, IT, and perform ad-hoc analyses based on specific requests from those departments. What do we offer you?
