This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of large-scale network architectures for complex organizations. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining core network architectures.
Key responsibilities include producing and approving network architectures, specifying design parameters, assessing network-related risks, and creating multiple design views to address various stakeholders' concerns.
The selected individual will also lead activities to develop organizational systems integration and build capabilities, including automation and continuous integration. This involves identifying, evaluating, and managing the adoption of tools, techniques, and processes to create a robust integration framework.
A strong understanding of emerging technologies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven analytical ability are essential for success in this role.
This position requires experience in leading small teams, deputizing for higher-grade staff, and maintaining an awareness of ongoing network infrastructure configuration and maintenance activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain knowledge of advances in Information Technology and demonstrate a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
Key qualifications include CCNP Routing and Switching certification, Services and Technology Professional Certification (e.g., ITIL, CCIE), and relevant experience in planning, design, system, and services engineering and implementation of communication aspects of C4ISR.
Familiarity with related international standards, such as IP networks (IPv6, QoS, MPLS, MP-BGP) and communications infrastructure and network service management and control, is highly desirable.
A valid National or NATO Cosmic Top Secret personal security clearance is required for this role.
