Verdon is a well‑established EPC company specialized in industrial projects and piping systems.
To support our growth, we are looking for an experienced TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER to lead and coordinate engineering activities on complex EPC projects.
You will play a key role in ensuring technical consistency, quality, and timely delivery of engineering and CAD deliverables across multidisciplinary EPC environments.
YOUR ROLE :
As Technical Project Manager, you act as the technical authority of the project, coordinating all engineering disciplines and interfacing with construction, procurement, suppliers, and offshore teams.
You will be responsible for day‑to‑day technical decision‑making and for delivering compliant engineering outputs (IFR / IFD / IFC / as‑built), reporting critical technical matters to the Head of Engineering Office.
PROJECT SCOPE :
You will be involved in EPC projects within the following sectors :
* Data Centers
* Industrial projects
* Chemicals
* Energy
* Pharmaceutical
* Oil & Gas
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Technical & multidisciplinary coordination
* Coordinate all engineering disciplines (Piping, Structures, Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC/MEP)
* Ensure alignment between Engineering, CAD, Construction, and Procurement
* Manage technical clarifications with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners
* Resolve daily technical issues and escalate critical decisions when required
Planning & engineering follow‑up
* Build and manage engineering schedules and deliverable lists
* Monitor progress, anticipate deviations, and implement mitigation actions
* Align engineering planning with the overall EPC master schedule
Engineering cost & performance control
* Manage engineering hours, discipline allocation, and productivity
* Monitor suppliers’ engineering progress
* Support technical cost estimation and risk evaluation
Risk & interface management
* Identify technical risks, constraints, and interfaces
* Maintain the engineering risk register and mitigation plans
* Manage technical interfaces with Project Management, clients, suppliers, and construction teams
Change management & document control
* Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
* Coordinate with Document Control for issuing and revision of deliverables
* Ensure proper document flow: IFR → IFD → IFC → as‑built
Technical reviews & supplier management
* Review engineering documents: 3D models, GA drawings, isometrics, structural drawings, E&I documentation
* Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and constructability requirements
* Lead technical discussions with equipment and material suppliers
* Prepare Technical Comparison Tabulations for Procurement
Constructability & site support
* Participate in constructability workshops and design‑to‑build sessions
* Support site teams with RFIs, deviations, and design adaptations
* Collaborate with prefab and modularization teams
Offshore engineering coordination
* Define clear work packages for offshore engineering & CAD teams
* Monitor quality, productivity, and schedule
* Ensure smooth integration of offshore deliverables
YOUR PROFILE :
Experience
* Minimum 5 years as Technical Project Manager or Project Manager on EPC projects
* Proven experience on at least two EPC projects
* Strong engineering background (site experience is a plus)
Technical skills
* Strong knowledge of Piping & Structures
* Good understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation
* Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and 3D models
* Familiarity with CAD/BIM workflows and deliverable management
* Experience with prefabrication and modularization is highly valued
* Proficient with MS Project, Primavera, Navisworks, or equivalent tools
* Fluent in English & French
