Senior Pre Sales Engineer (w/d/m)
Join a highly flexible development team focused on the Hardware Security Module ADYTON, working with members in Brussels, Aachen and abroad. Strong communication skills are essential as you guide teams in cryptographic‑linked software, and in requirements analysis to develop tailor‑made solutions for customers.
The Opportunity
You will develop security products in embedded systems for financial transactions, defining, analyzing, developing and validating security‑related applications on the ADYTON.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Clarify customer requirements and needs, producing complete studies and reconciling customer needs with product strategy. Act as a technical leader, guiding offshore and in‑house teams in architecture, analysis and development of custom solutions. Proficiency in Python and C++ is desirable. Work in an agile environment, independently structuring tasks and solving issues.
You will play a critical customer‑facing role, engaging directly with clients to understand and discuss their specific requirements, serving as a liaison between technical teams and customers to ensure accurate translation of needs into actionable plans. Your proactive problem‑solving and deep product understanding will enable you to offer tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
On a day‑to‑day basis you will
* Participate in solution discussions, workshops, bid presentations.
* Work closely with regional Sales teams to address customer needs, applying consultative selling techniques.
* Support Product Management in mapping future solution states and conveying vision to the team.
* Interact with senior customer contacts and internally with Worldline management at all levels.
* Prioritise, communicate and mitigate issues and risks with internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
* Solid background in security (hardware and/or software) and applied cryptography.
* Experience with embedded systems and development in C and Python.
* Knowledge of testing methodology (unit, integration, white/black‑box testing).
* Experience in low‑level software development and Linux driver development.
* Familiarity with security standards such as PCI PIN, PCI PTS HSM, ANSI X9.143 (TR31), ASC X9 TR34, EMVCo.
* Knowledge of OpenSSL and ASN.1 is a plus.
* Strong analytical aptitude, results‑oriented, creative problem‑solving.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills; fluency in English.
* Awareness of development support tools and rapid adaptation to new technologies.
