To strengthen our organization, we are looking for a Global Procurement Manager who will play a key role in driving cost optimization and value creation across our global sourcing activities. In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing a procurement strategy that supports the design, (sales) engineering, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will focus on reducing total cost of ownership (TCO), improving supplier performance, and ensuring reliable and sustainable supply chains for critical project components—while maintaining alignment with design standards, regulatory requirements, and project delivery timelines. In this role, you will manage worldwide a team of 6 people, and report directly to the CEO. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a cost-optimization-focused global procurement strategy for water and wastewater projects. Identify and deliver sustainable cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering. Lead global category management for materials and services such as mechanical/electrical systems, civil works, pumps, pipelines, and treatment technologies. Lead and mentor regional procurement teams worldwide, ensuring consistent sourcing standards, process compliance, and alignment with global objectives. Negotiate high-value contracts and framework agreements that improve cost efficiency while protecting quality and delivery timelines. Build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships that drive innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement. Partner with (Sales) Engineering and Project Management teams to align procurement decisions with technical and commercial goals. Lead should-cost analysis, benchmarking, and market intelligence initiatives to inform sourcing strategies. Optimize logistics, warehousing, and inventory costs through strategic planning and supplier collaboration. Monitor and mitigate commodity price volatility and supply chain risks. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to corporate policies, compliance standards and local regulations. Track and report on savings performance, supplier KPIs, and budget adherence to senior management. Profile Master’s degree combined with 8–10 years of experience in procurement within the water, wastewater, or broader industrial infrastructure sectors Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and contract negotiation, ideally within EPC or Design & Build project environments Strong understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO), cost breakdown structures, and supplier financials Proficient in working with ERP and procurement systems Excellent command of English; additional languages are considered an asset Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10–25%) Strong commercial acumen combined with a sharp analytical mindset Results-driven, with a clear focus on delivering measurable cost improvements Skilled in stakeholder management across engineering, operations, and finance Excellent negotiation, influencing, and supplier management capabilities Collaborative leadership style with the ability to drive change in an international context Offer: An exciting and varied role based at the headquarters of an innovative and internationally listed company An open work environment with short communication lines and various growth opportunities A competitive salary package complemented by attractive fringe benefits No fixed holiday period A rooftop padel court to unwind and stay active
