A technology lead role responsible for guiding backend and data engineering efforts within trading product teams. The position ensures the delivery of secure, high-performance applications and data-driven capabilities, provides technical leadership and coaching, collaborates with stakeholders, and drives architectural decisions in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical direction and mentorship to backend and data engineering teams, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to microservices architecture design.
* Lead the delivery of secure, high-performance backend and data-driven components by overseeing development, optimization, deployment, and maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements and design system architectures.
* Plan, supervise, and support team members throughout the delivery process, breaking down work and managing tasks.
* Provide user support and monitor deliverables post-release to ensure stable operations.
* Engage with traders, quants, developers, and product teams within a distributed agile environment to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience in backend or data engineering roles

* Strong experience in Python (mandatory).
* Hands on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory).
* Good understanding of networking and cyber security.
* Experience with electronic or algorithmic trading is an advantage.
* Knowledge of microservices based architectures is an advantage
* Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
* University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
