With a global presence, the company is headquartered in Belgium and has teams in other countries (Spain, UK, Germany)As Field Application Specialist, you will be part of the Customer Support team of OncoDNA for the diagnostics decentralized product line.The decentralized product line consists of the NGS based reagents combined with cloud-based bio informatics and diagnostic interpretation tools. In this role you will assist OncoDNA's partners and customers in the proper implementation of kits and the bio informatic solutions in their own laboratories.You will be responsible for ensuring the proper implementation and use of the products.This can consist of telephone support and/or travel on site to assist in the implementation. In this role, you shall have a deep knowledge of the NGS based product and inferred protocols and applications. You will participate in problem solving but also in the pre-sales process when required.Like all the members of the company, you participate in procedures, protocols, and technical documents writing in relation to the OncoDNA product line and your area of expertise.Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Field application specialist, you will :Train customers on the use of the OncoDNA product lineYou will train the customers on the lab work necessary for the OncoDNA product lineYou will give telephone support to customers who have questions about the lab work related to the OncoDNA productsYou will give onsite support and do troubleshooting if necessaryYou will participate in pre-sales calls if the commercial lead needs to have technical support in explaining the detailed steps in the wet lab workYou will help in the preparation of the documentation for the OncoDNA productsYou will help on the technical education of the commercial teamYou will also be involved in the remote support and possibility first line support of OncoDNA productsThe position will require 40 to 60% of travel.Expertise (education, qualifications and training)Master in science and/or molecular biology.Strong experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) preferably in a diagnostic environment.Interest in the technical aspects of the OncoDNA ProductsGood knowledge and understanding of molecular aspects of cancerFluent in English, one or two additional language(s) are a plus.A strong interest in the total clinical flow which goes from sample till interpretationExpertise in Laboratory Automation is a plusYou have experience of supporting highly educated customers and you manage their stress. xjsrcvqRequired Skills (Soft Skills)You have knowledge of the complete NGS flow in the lab3 to 5 years of experience in a laboratoryRigor, methodology, efficiencyListening and good communication skillsInterest in field tripsProactive, enthusiastic and positive attitudeTeam spiritCuriosity, open to continuous trainingYou feel at ease to work with customers who are having problems and you have the correct communication skills and style to make sure these problems do not escalate and jeopardize the commercial relationship.Good communication skills, Adapted to the audience
