Senior Business Controller
As a Senior Business Controller, you act as a strategic finance business partner for your France and Luxemburg. You support and challenge management by translating business strategy into financial insights, steering performance, and driving value creation. You combine strong financial expertise with business acumen and stakeholder management, playing a key role in decision-making at management level.
Key responsibilities
Strategic business partnering
* Act as the finance SPOC for France & Luxemburg, supporting management in translating strategic and operational decisions into financial impact.
* Proactively challenge business assumptions and performance, ensuring financial discipline and value creation.
* Participate actively in management teams, business reviews, and strategic discussions, providing clear financial guidance.
* Support business cases, investment decisions and ad-hoc financial analyse
Financial planning, analysis & reporting
* Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning cycles for your markets.
* Prepare and explain monthly performance analyses (“storytelling”), including variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year.
* Monitor costs, profitability, risks and operational performance, and propose corrective actions where needed.
* Deliver high-quality management reporting and presentations for senior leadership.
* Enhance finance processes within the organization.
Collaboration & leadership
* Actively participate in the management teams of France and Luxembourg and work closely together with the market leader of these countries.
* Work closely with accounting, billing, invoicing and other finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
* Actively participate in the controlling community by sharing best practices and supporting other controllers.
Profile & skills
Experience & knowledge
* Master degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
* Several years of experience in business controlling, FP&A or finance business partnering.
* Strong understanding of P&L, cost structures, revenue drivers and financial KPI
Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into clear insights.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to challenge and influence at senior management level.
* Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
* Strong communication skills, both financial and non-financial storytelling.
* Comfortable working in an international and complex environment.
* Willing to travel to our offices in France (Paris & Bayonne) and Luxembourg on a regular basis.
