* Team & Subcontractor Supervision: Manage subcontractors and in-house teams to maintain construction efficiency and quality.
* Safety Compliance & Inspections: Enforce construction site safety regulations, conduct audits, and ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
* Project Progress Monitoring: Track construction milestones, address delays, and provide updates to the project manager.
* Material & Equipment Coordination: Ensure timely availability of steel materials, tools, and heavy machinery for seamless execution.
* Quality Control & Compliance: Verify that work meets steel fabrication standards and resolve any quality concerns.
* Site Organization & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, structured, and safe construction site, ensuring proper site closure.
* Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify and address on-site construction challenges to avoid project delays.
* Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily construction logs, complete risk assessments, and oversee work permits.
* At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites, ideally within the steel industry or a related field, with hands-on experience in leading and managing subcontractor teams.
* Comprehensive expertise in construction workflows and steel structure work, with a particular focus on reading and interpreting plans and executing construction guidelines.
* Skilled in performing site measurements and efficiently relaying this information to the project manager.
* Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams and coordinate various disciplines on-site.
* Strong command of safety protocols (e.g., VCA) and hands-on experience ensuring safety compliance on construction sites.
* Outstanding at organizing and planning, ensuring smooth project flow and adherence to timelines.
* A solution-oriented mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to tackling issues.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with varied teams and external stakeholders.
* Languages: Fluent in English (both verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch and French is a plus. Able to communicate seamlessly with subcontractors.
