Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in a Law field from a Belgian University, with a specialization (LLM) in law and new technologies, commercial law, copyright law or privacy law. Experience working in a law firm or legal department of a company. Ability to communicate in English, Dutch and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region. Preferred qualifications: Experience with legal analysis and research. Experience in intellectual property, technology, or media law, with an interest in technology and IT-relevant legal problems and recent developments. Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Available to start March 2026 for 12 months fixed-term contract. About the job As a Legal Trainee, you will help to respond to legal challenges of the information age. You will get an insight into a variety of legal challenges at Google and YouTube, while promoting the development of internet law in an unconventional environment. Responsibilities Conduct legal research on a variety of legal topics (e.g., intellectual property, consumer regulations, media regulations, advertising law, data protection, etc.). Respond to various legal requests from users and third-parties in relation to Google services. Assist the Legal team in the preparation and the management of court actions. Participate in the review and drafting of agreements. Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team. Use internal AI tools for all of the above.
