Our client is a key player in the Belgian and European energy transmission landscape. As Project Engineer Civil Works, you join the Engineering department and take technical ownership of civil infrastructure projects across high‑voltage substations (36kV to 380kV). You work in a multidisciplinary team alongside Project Leaders and fellow engineers, covering the full project lifecycle from feasibility to closure. The role is based in Brussels with flexibility for telework after onboarding.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the technical elaboration of project scope and design
* Carry out technical studies during feasibility and detail phases
* Guide the design team during the detail study phase and ensure quality and scope alignment
* Act as the key liaison between the design team, technical experts, and the Project Leader
* Proactively identify the impact of new concepts on project operations and take corrective action
* Communicate and report on project progress
Qualifications
* Master's degree in engineering (civil or industrial) with a construction focus
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent French, good understanding of Dutch
* Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
* Knowledge of electricity grids is an advantage
* EU work authorisation or valid Belgian labour card and residence permit
