The Role
We are looking for a theatre-minded, resourceful, and culturally curious Artistic Assistant to support the daily work of our Artistic Directors. You will be part of the creative heartbeat of Dragone: the place where ideas are born, shaped, tested, and transformed into shows and environments.
Your Responsibilities
Artistic Research
• Conduct deep and wide artistic research across theatre, performing arts, stagecraft, scenography, dance, circus arts, live performance technologies, visual arts, digital art, architecture, cinema, music, and emerging creative trends.
• Build and maintain a living library of references, inspirations, artistic movements, scenographic solutions, dramaturgical structures, and innovative performance practices.
• Stay alert to new creative languages, creators, and technologies influencing the evolution of live arts (immersive formats, XR, AI-driven creation, lighting and stage automation trends, etc.).
• Propose artistic benchmarks and synthesize research into clear, elegant, and usable documents for the creative leadership (Keynote as preferred tool of presentation).
Creative & Production Support
• Assist the Artistic Directors in their daily tasks and artistic follow-up.
• Prepare and update artistic documents, moodboards, creative bibles, dramaturgical outlines, presentations.
• Participate in high-level creative meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions.
• Help coordinate exchanges with production, technical, choreography, and design teams.
• Manage practical and administrative follow-up linked to the artistic department.
• Contribute creative input and fresh ideas to the studio environment.
• Be ready to travel for meetings, workshops, rehearsals, or site research.
Your Profile
• Theatre background is a major asset: experience in theatre, performing arts, or live entertainment (assistant director, dramaturgy, production assistant, stage management, scenography studies, etc.).
• Perfect command of French and English (spoken & written).
• A third language is a significant plus (Italian, Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic highly appreciated).
• Based between Paris and Brussels, with mobility between both cities.
• Strong visual and cultural literacy; passion for performing arts and their evolution.
• Autonomous, quick, resourceful, able to work under pressure and jump into new topics.
• Comfortable working with AI tools for research, drafting, documentation, and visual generation.
• Excellent organization, precision, and communication.
• Flexible schedule — our creative rhythm does not follow office hours.
• Availability to travel in Europe and internationally.
