We're looking for an experienced Real‑World Evidence (RWE) Analyst & Programmer to support RWE studies for a global pharmaceutical company. You'll join the Policy, Payers & Real‑World Evidence department and collaborate closely with epidemiologists and RWE experts to analyze internal and external healthcare databases.
This is a long‑term contract role, fully remote possible (except from Germany and the UK). Freelancers are welcome, and for candidates based in Belgium, an employee contract is also possible.
What You'll Do
Partner with RWE experts to implement study protocols and clarify requirements
Develop, validate, and document statistical analysis programs (R, Python, SAS)
Participate in protocol reviews and internal governance processes
Provide technical expertise on healthcare databases and data quality
Communicate with stakeholders to align on protocols, timelines, and deliverables
Work iteratively, offering insights and improvements throughout the study lifecycle
Experience We're Looking For
2+ years in RWE, epidemiology, or health outcomes
2+ years working with large healthcare databases (e.g., CPRD, Merative MarketScan)
Must‑Have Skills
Strong programming experience in R and/or Python (SAS is a plus)
Hands‑on experience with large healthcare datasets
Advanced statistical programming and epidemiological analysis skills
Excellent command of English
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Self‑driven, organized, and able to work independently
Fluency in English
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Shiny)
Knowledge of matching algorithms (e.g., propensity score matching)
Background in descriptive and advanced pharmacoepidemiology
Proactive, analytical, and structured approach to problem‑solving
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to Have
SAS experience (the team is transitioning away from it)
Familiarity with additional statistical or programming tools
Experience working in global, cross‑functional teams
