In this position you will assist in the development and creation of high-quality market ready products showcasing the Sensient range of unique and innovative flavours and extracts. You will have some understanding of the complex nature of the interactions between flavors, ingredients, colours and manufacturing processes used in the bakery, dairy, ice-cream, confectionery industries and will be able to exploit this knowledge, translating it into great tasting market viable products that exceed the customer's expectations.
What you will do:
* Hands on laboratory work to create sauces & inclusions products that are of a high market-ready standard
* Responsible for daily product selections that meet customer, technical, regulatory & commercial requirements
* Work with sales & marketing departments to be ahead of latest food trends & be able to creatively apply these trends into application products
* To provide support to the European Account Managers for technical customer presentations. This may include some European travel
* Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory environment, in accordance with our health and safety policies
What you will bring:
* Master in Food Science or Bachelor in Food Science with at least 5 years of experience or similar scientific remit
* Competence in the scope of flavors, colours, ingredients, manufacturing processes and regulations of the bakery, dairy, confectionery and ice-cream industries
* Practical lab and culinary skills to make food products, preferably focused on Sweet market categories
* Creative flair to be able to bring new ideas for products for customer presentations while maintaining a high level of detail
* The ability to communicate with people of all levels, both written and verbally in English & Dutch
* The ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure constantly re-prioritizing if required and strong project management skills
