We value initiative, accountability and the balance between creativity and quality in all solutions, and this is your chance to contribute to our service customer strategy.The Service Customer Management team at Vestas ensures our customers have a great experience when receiving our services. Our customers include leading companies in the energy industry and renewable energy sector such as RWE, Vattenfall, Shell, Iberdrola, TotalEnergies, SSE and others. As part of the Offshore Service Operations organization, you will join a collaborative team of over colleagues working to deliver services for offshore wind farms.
Responsibilities
1. Build strong customer relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships based on trust and value creation
2. Primary customer contact: Serve as the main point of contact for commercial, contractual, and major operational issues under a service agreement
3. Promote customer centricity: Leverage your knowledge and proficiency to ensure that the customer perspective is prioritised in decision-making throughout the value chain
4. Facilitate strategic engagement: Apply a strategic approach to engaging with customers, facilitating dialogues to solve issues and coordinating with regional and cross-organizational stakeholders to ensure cohesive communication
5. Optimise profitability: support the Service Cluster’s Profil&Loss ownership by developing strategies and negotiating settlements that maximise profitability
6. Warranty management: Manage defect warranty obligations, providing commercial input and facilitating customer negotiations to resolve complex issues
Example of Day-to-Day Activities
7. Customer interaction: Represent Vestas and its service strategy towards our customers, as well as contractually for official/contractual communications
8. Meetings and reporting: Facilitate regular customer meetings, maintain action logs, prepare formal correspondence, and deliver customer reports
9. Quotations and Proposals: Deliver quotations for additional services by collaborating with operational and technical stakeholders
10. Issue Resolution: Address customer issues independently and coordinate internal stakeholders and experts’ input to resolve requests
11. Risk Management: Ensure Vestas is adequately informed about commercial risks and propose solutions to support Service Clusters in optimising profit and loss.
Qualifications
12. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a commercial or technical field
13. Minimum 5 years of experience as customer manager or similar, managing service contracts in a complex organization
14. Experience in the energy sector, particularly wind energy is not mandatory, but it will be considered and valued
15. Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are valued Competencies
16. Strategic and Commercial Mindset: Thorough understanding of financial principles and financial analysis Comprehensive understanding of contracts and contract management

Additional information
The position will be based out of either Hamburg, Germany or Ostend, Belgium. The role requires approximately days of travel per year.
