The Financial & Compliance Controller will be responsible for a few areas within our team.
Financial/business controlling for a few regions/functions within the European Finance team:
Monitor business performance with analysis of historical and projected results and trends
Assessing the financial impact of activities/initiatives within the region (e.g., Accounting & compliance work for some of our entities in Belgium and the Netherlands
Take ownership of the accounting and tax scope for the respective entities
Accounting includes monthly and yearly closing responsibility with month-end accrual calculation, reconciliation of payroll accounts and general review of balance sheet
Tax Compliance includes monitoring the indirect and direct tax declarations and payments for the respective entities and adhere to internal procedures and local legislation
Become the central finance point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for the respective regions (external audit, internal audit/SOX compliance, corporate accounting & tax, local authorities,…)
All-round support for the Finance Manager Benelux.
Bachelor or Master Degree in the field of Finance and/or Business Administration
~2 to 5 years of relevant experience (financial analyst, compliance officer, audit, …).
~ Solid analytical skills with an eye for accuracy and a drive for automation
~ English proficiency; knowledge of any other European language is an asset
~ Experience in SAP, Qlikview and/or OneStream is not required but will be considered an asset
